So we are mobile and so very happy! Addison got busy with her walker today and she is doing great! She is a slow mover which as most of you know is a major change! But it has made such a difference in her mental state just to be able to move on her own. Please keep her in your prayers she is doing great and God is healing her so quickly!
Here are some cute pics of Lawson hard at work. He has rediscovered his laptop and hasn't put it down since. He loves the hospital table mom rented for Addison and he will sit at forever, hard at work. Just had to share:)
We went to see the surgeon last week and got a miraculous report! Addison got her splint off and no cast! The doc was very pleased with her progress and released her to walk almost 3.5 weeks early! God is so good and has just healed Addison so quickly. Literally we got a walker and she is making incredible progress. It is such a blessing to see her back on her feet or at least on a foot for now!
Last week Addison went back to school and she was so thrilled to be back! Her little classmates have been so precious to help her and be so supportive. Not to mention her teacher and her teacher's aide, they have been such a blessing and just a God send:) This day that I took the pics they were having their tasting experience for the week and it was food from Japan. They weren't all that sure about the food:)
I thought these were so cute of miss Addison. She has been working hard everyday to catch up on her missed school. She is a week and and a half behind and I never realized how many worksheets they do everyday! Anyway she is doing great and getting it all done! Mom and Jake rented her a table like you have at the hospital that wil go over her bed or her wheelchair which has made life soooooooooooooo much easier.
Addison has a precious friend named Emery who has been such a blessing. She has so much compassion and is so patient! She came last weekend and they played Littlest Pet Shop on the Wii for 3 hrs. straight. As you can see little brother was not only getting in on the Wii action but also the Oxygen mask action. He wants to do everything she does, it's so cute, she doesn't always think so of course, but I do:)
So we have been home since Thursday night and things have been crazy! It is an adventure for sure:) Addison is such an incredible little girl. She has gone through unimaginable pain and has been just so brave. She is so sweet and it is hard to watch her going through so much but she is precious. Being at home has made her much happier and she is blessed with some precious friends who have been great medicine for her. We also went to church this morning and it only took Larry and I 3 hrs to get us all ready and there.. with help from my Mom. WE will get better:)
Most of you know that Addie had an accident Tuesday night at gymnastics. She fell off the trampoline and landed on her right knee and broke her femur very badly. She was rushed to Amarillo by ambulance and went into immediate surgery. She has two rods in her leg and will be wheelchair bound for 6 weeks. After that, with time her leg will completely heal. All went perfect in the surgery and then she ran into some really severe breathing problems in recovery and gave us a very large scare. Since then she is better but please pray for her little lungs to get stronger everyday. We appreciate with everything in us all the support, emails, phone calls, balloons, etc. from all of our awesome friends and family. You guys have been a blessing beyond description. God has his hand on us and we have felt every step of the way. Here are a few pics for now, and I will post more later.
We went to Red River last week and we had an absolute blast! We went with my Mom, Jake, Jenni, Jaya, and Jordan. All the kids had a blast and all of them except Lawson learned to ski and did great! Addison did great at skiing and really enjoyed it. She looked so cute coming down that bunny slope on those ski's and her sunglasses:) It was great skiing, the weather was wonderful! We also ate at some great places and really just enjoyed each other. We found some really deep snow at the park and the kids had a blast. I am going to load up a bunch of pics so enjoy!
