Thanksgiving in Abilene

We spent the Thanksgiving Holiday with our family in Abilene. We really enjoyed ourselves. The kids played, played and played some more. We ate lots and relaxed lots. Terra and I hit the shops early on Friday and wow there was some serious shopping going on... We had a great meal on Thursday, thanks MIMI! We watched some good football Go Cowboys:) We enjoyed the company very much and had such a blessed time. Thanks MiMi and Pop for being great hosts, and we enjoyed spending time with Aunt Terra, Uncle Zach, and our precious Caden.

Thanksgiving Program

Addison and her class did a cute program for Thanksgiving. They sang a few songs and shared some memorized scripture with us. It was such a blessing... and then they shared a feast with us that the kids had helped prepare. It was yummy and really cute that they had done the work. We really enjoyed it!

Santa?

So after Addison arrived in style with Santa ( refer to the blog below). It was time to sit on his lap and let him have it about the toys and the whole I was good thing. Well Lawson was up and ready for the action... wait he wasn't totally ready. So he pretty much took one look at this crazy man and quickly began to yell at the top of his lungs and lunged out of his lap as fast as he could. So much for that.. he was not a fan. Oh well, better luck next year! Addison sweetly said to him, "It's ok bubby, I know what you want for Christmas, I will tell him you have been very good." So there you have it he will get his toys anyway bc he has such a sweet big sister:)

Santa came to town in style:)

Santa cruised into Borger in a big fat limo and guess where he stopped first.. yep Nonee and Big Pops house. He came over around 2 on Sunday afternoon and Addison was one happy camper:) (Lawson was snoozing for this part of the Santa excitement but he got him some Santa later:) Jake has the hook ups on Santa every year for us and it is so fun. Every year Santa cruises into downtown Borger where all the kids are waiting anxiously to sit on that famous knee and list every toy that comes to mind! So Jake is the limo driver for Santa so you guessed it, he comes by with Santa and lets Addison ride with them downtown in the limo. So she kids to be the one to arrive with Santa, I mean really does it get any better than that... not when your 5 it doesn't:) She was so cute with him, she colored him like 10 pictures and made sure he looked at each one. It was a precious memory for sure, thanks Big Pop!

Blessed Day!!!

Addison was baptised on Sunday and it was an unexplainable joy for Larry and I. She was asked if she knew that Jesus was in her heart and she screamed so proudly, "Yes".... it was so awesome. She is a child of God first and our's second and his mark on her is growing more apparent everyday as she gets to know him better. She has a heart of worship and it is just a blessing to be her Mom.I am humbled and so very thankful that Addison has begun her journey with our Lord so early in her life. Wow God is sooooooooo good and his goodness has no bounds. I am overwhelmed with his goodness today.
